Many years ago, my sister-in-law made these pizzas as an appetizer at a christening party. When she told me the secret ingredient I had concerns but four slices later, I was begging for the recipe.

I receive a lot of cookbooks as gifts and to test. I’m picky about the ones I let take up space in my kitchen, I donate five or so for every one I keep. These are the ones that made the cut (and a look at part of my apron collection).
