I recently spent the day finding things to do in St. Augustine and ended up on Matanzas Bay exploring Castillo de San Marcos. I studied the design-related aspects as well as the color and texture created by the aging of construction materials and furnishings.
Windows open, a good coffee pour, biplanes buzzing in the background, good friends on the way to spend the weekend with us – this morning, there is much to be thankful for; I’m reticent about “missing” anything. Still, I do miss having four seasons, and this is the time of year when my mind wanders to (and my friends’ feeds remind me of) the almost-sudden, spectacular Seattle spring tailor-made for walks and rhododendrons.
So excited to share my DIY matte finish plaster paint recipe as well as the beautiful dining room cabinet I refinished using it. This paint is so inexpensive and easy to use, and color choices are limited only by your imagination.
